Those familiar with the Western Irish coastal region of Sligo, will recognize the statue depicted on this album cover.
This collection of tunes was inspired by this statue of a woman reaching out in hope and prayer and, as the inscription reads, reflecting “…the age-old anguish of a seafaring people who watched and waited for the safe return of loved ones…”
At the same time, these tunes are a dedication to the Irish isle and especially its people, and are an attempt to show forth some of the Irish soul and its heritage. While this music bears a touch of melancholy, it nevertheless carries a hope of a better world.
Furthermore, this collection is in honour of those who are “waiting on shore” of this life to be reunited with the ones they have loved and who have gone on before. A dedication to those “on shore” who are reaching for that love-without-end.Track list:
